Tis'the Season for  Prescribed Burns - Rocky Point Glades    

The Missouri Master Naturalist program began in 2004. The program is an adult, community-based natural resource education and volunteer service program. 

Master Naturalists promote awareness and citizen stewardship of natural resources through science-based education, community service, and educational outreach.

Master Naturalists are ordinary citizen volunteers enhancing the quality and diversity of our community through conservation, protection, and restoration of our natural resources.

The Osage Trails Chapter of the Missouri Master Naturalist Program is located in the Greater Kansas City area and began in 2006 with the first class at Burr Oak Woods. 

The chapter is jointly sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation and the University of Missouri Extension.

Learning and Doing - Advanced Training with Missouri Stream Team

Field Trip at Rocky Point Glades

To become Master Naturalists program volunteers complete 40 hours of classroom training, field trips, and a capstone project.

After completing the initial training volunteers then commit to 40 hours of community service each year.
